Cosentyx – ab wann?
Cosentyx kannst du bekommen, wenn Du eine mittelschwere bis schwere Schuppenflechte hast. Ob Du die hast und eine andere Therapie vielleicht besser wäre,kannst und musst Du mit einem Hautarzt klären.Oder meinst Du das Alter? Dann: Ab 18 – es ist für die Therapie von Erwachsenen zugelassen.
Wie schnell wirkt Cosentyx?
Bei jedem vierten Patienten war die Schuppenflechte nach dreieinhalb Wochen um 75 Prozent besser, wenn sie die "volle" Dosis von 300 mg gespritzt hatten.
Wie hoch ist die Zuzahlung?
Bei Cosentyx musst du maximal 10 Euro in der Apotheke dazuzahlen. Den Rest übernimmt die Gesetzliche Krankenkasse.
Wie bekomme ich Cosentyx?
Indem du es dir von einem Hautarzt oder Rheumatologen verschreiben lässt.
Welcher Arzt verschreibt Cosentyx?
Wenn du Schuppenflechte hast: der Hautarzt. Vielleicht hilft Dir die Liste im PsoNet weiter. Das sind regionale Zusammenschlüsse von Hautärzten, die sich auf die Schuppenflechte spezialisiert haben. Auch der Rheumatologe kann Cosentyx verschreiben. Wenn du Psoriasis arthritis hast: der Rheumatologe. Wenn du beides hast: entweder der Hautarzt oder der Rheumatologe.
Wie kann ich mir Cosentyx spritzen?
Cosentyx wird kurz unter die Haut gespritzt – im Sinne von "kurz" die Länge der Nadel gemeint ist. Sprich: Die Nadel ist nicht lang.
Wohin wird Cosentyx gespritzt?
Cosentyx kann überall dorthin gespritzt werden, wo ein bisschen Fett ist – zum Beispiel am Bauch oder am Oberschenkel. Vermieden werden sollte, dorthin zu spritzen, wo Psoriasis-Stellen sind.
Wie oft muss man sich Cosentyx spritzen?
In der Eingewöhnungsphase wird Cosentyx einmal in der Woche gespritzt. Danach wird es alle vier Wochen angewendet.
Wann wirkt Cosentyx?
Bei der Anwendung von 300mg pro Spritzen-Termin wirkt Cosentyx bei jedem vierten Patient nach 3,5 Wochen.
Fachmännisch ausgedrückt: PASI-75-Ansprechen bei 25 % der Patienten nach 3,5 Wochen bei 300 mg

Wie oft muss man während der Cosentyx-Therapie zur Blutkontrolle?
In der Leitlinie 2017 werden Blutkontrollen empfohlen:
- vor Beginn der Therapie
- 4 Wochen nach Beginn der Therapie
- 12 Wochen nach Beginn der Therapie
- und dann alle 3 Monate
Was kostet Cosentyx? Wie teuer ist es?
Eine Packung mit 2 Pens kostet etwa 2000 Euro (Stand November 2019). Aber: Das ist ein Listenpreis. Spezielle Verträge und andere Umstände können den Preis verändern, so dass die Aussage nur als grobe Richtung zu verstehen ist.
Warum ist Cosentyx so teuer?
Salopp geantwortet: weil die Pharmafirma diesen Preis nehmen darf.
Weniger salopp: In die Entwicklung von Cosentyx hat der Hersteller sehr viel Geld investiert – sei es zu Anfang in der Erforschung, später mit Studien und schlussendlich in der Vermarktung. Den Preis kann man viel zu überteuert finden, am Ende muss man aber sagen: Cosentyx hilft auch vielen, die vorher keine Besserung mehr sahen.
Wann wurde Cosentyx zugelassen?
Für die Behandlung der Schuppenflechte erhielt Cosentyx im Januar 2015 die Zulassung. Im November 2015 gab es dann die Zulassung zur Behandlung der Psoriasis arthritis.
Wie lange nimmt man Cosentyx?
Das ist nicht festgelegt. Viele halten es für eine lebenslange Therapie. Manche sagen, man könnte nach einem Jahr Erscheinungsfreiheit oder deutlicher Besserung versuchen, Cosentyx seltener oder gar nicht mehr zu spritzen. Das muss aber immer mit dem Arzt besprochen werden.
Kann ich Cosentyx noch verwenden, wenn mein Kühlschrank wegen eines Stromausfalls ausgefallen ist?
Wir haben uns beim Hersteller erkundigt. Du musst Dir keine Sorgen machen. Wenn Cosnetyx zwei Stunden im Kühlschrank gelegen hat, obwohl der Strom ausgefallen ist, ist das kein Problem! Zum einen hält der Kühlschrank die Temperatur relativ lange. Du wirst ja nicht die Tür offen stehen gelassen haben. Zum anderen steht in der Fachinformation, dass man Cosentyx einmalig vier Tage bei Raumtemperatur lagern kann. Die Kühlungsvorschriften sind vor allem dazu da, die Mindesthaltbarkeit zu garantieren.
Wichtig ist noch, dass die Flüssigkeit völlig klar ist, d.h.keine noch so kleine Partikel enthalten sind. Bei dem Präparat handelt es sich um sehr empfindliche Moleküle.
Noch ein Hinweis: Beim Transport in der Kühltasche von der Apotheke darf die Packung nicht längere Zeit direkt auf dem Kühl-Pad liegen. Dadurch könnten die Moleküle gefrieren. Novartis bietet deshalb extra eine Kühltasche an, bei der das verhindert wird.
Was ist Secukinumab?
Secukinumab ist der Name des Wirkstoffes, der im Medikament Cosentyx zum Einsatz kommt. Von Fachleuten wird er auch als Interleukin-17A-Hemmer bezeichnet. Secukinumab gehört in die Medikamenten-Klasse der Biologika.
