No Mustang GT or Dark Horse? But Edge and Explorer ST LMFAO!
Go to the Ford.com and click Performance Vehicles. Chevy might hate their Camaro but at least they put it in there.

There are four different versions of the Mustang/Dark Horse under the performance vehicle tab. Gotta scroll down.

I see that, and the Escape and Explorer get recognized. But the Mustang gets dropped in "SUVs and Cars"

Yeah, the Dark Horse is an odd duck. It’s a regular production Mustang, but can only be bought by the made infamous by Ford Performance “allocation” process. Basically, the Dark Horse is the red headed step child of Ford’s performance lineup.

Right, like what is the criteria in order for a vehicle to be reclassified as ‘performance’. Since the mustang is really the only ‘car’ they make couldn’t they just change the label to be mustangs and suvs?

The Mach 1 and GT500 were considered Ford Performance vehicles...can still see them listed in the bottom links of the page but the links are broken now. I too thought it was odd that the DH was not included. In other news, not a single mustang was made in July. Just saw an article on that...that is not good at all. It is summer break for the plant, but normally that is just two weeks according to the article. The S650 is not doing so hot....that level of inventory just sitting is not good at all.

They are specific, expensive cars in a gloomy market with high interest rates.

Ford performance cars have specific tunes (Usually requiring 91 octane) and a 36,000 mile three year warranty.
Ford vehicles are tuned to run on 87 and come with the standard 5 year 60,000 mile warranty.
Thats how I understand the difference.

We already know why Ford didn't make Mustangs in July: supply chain issues with the Coyote engines. Not sure why this publication is unaware.

Don’t laugh at the Explorer ST my friend, I have a 22 built - it may smoke your GT, (as long as your GT’s not Blown) and I have a 24 GT as well so I know what a dog they are - …
